About the Artist

Hi! I'm Kia, I'm an illustrator, painter and self-taught ceramic artist based in Juneau, Alaska. 

I grew up splitting my time between the heart of Bristol Bay and the San Juan Islands. Both these beautiful and scenic areas, instilled in me a love of nature, wild places and unique landscapes.

My art is inspired by my outdoor passions - fishing for halibut and salmon, hiking through thick blueberry bushes looking for deer, trail running during southeast rainstorms, mountain biking down muddy trails and camping on mountain tops just to see sunrise the next morning. I love being outside and my art does it's best to embrace that feeling. My style incorporates bright colors, natural motifs, geometric designs, and fine detail work.
